Australian Digital Health Agency — Digital Health
Product Design, Accessibility
The Australian Digital Health Agency is responsible for national digital health strategy.
The goal was to design and develop a website to collect data on Australia’s 2022 Digital Health Strategy.

Product Design
I use what I learn from users as rationale throughout the design process, alongside best practice.
We ran 12 rounds of moderated user testing across all age ranges.
Working onsite with the client, we iterated our designs quickly and validated them with users, leaving more time for the final deliverable.

The final deliverable was a highly interactive, fully designed prototype that consolidated vast amounts of information.
I built alongside and oversaw the front-end team to ensure consistency and best practice.

Design System
I consolidated the work of five designers into the Australian Digital Health design system, guiding the incoming development team on components and patterns.
The design system set out accessibility patterns, semantic markup and interactivity for each component, a blueprint for how it is structured in HTML and how it behaves.
I worked with each designer to understand the requirements of their features. This was key, as the system had to flex for all the design being produced. The team then distilled the variations across features into a single component, which every feature team implemented.
Accessibility
Recommendations for each component.
Semantic markup
The component’s HTML structure.
Interactivity
How the component should behave.
